Recreation Registration
Recreational registration fees: Is $200.00 for all ages, plus a $50 volunteer fee. The $50 fee will be reimbursed when the family completes 2 hours of volunteer. Registration fee covers: 1 uniform kit per player (a kit includes a jersey, shorts and socks), field usage, FYSA registration, player insurance and referee fees.
MAYSO is now offering a 50% REFUND for all volunteer head coaches after completeing a background check, Safesport and Heads Up training courses.
- All player(s) will be registered and rostered in their appropriate age group. A player’s age group is determined by MAYSO's bylaws, Article XIV Age Group, or FYSA bylaws, whichever is the most up-to-date. Starting in 2016 US Soccer has mandated that player age grouping be strictly based off of the birth year of the player. 2016-2025 Player Age Group Matrix
- Registration form, copy of player's birth certificate, both signed COVID-19 waivers, and full payment must be on file and completed before evaluations in order for player to be placed on a team.
- Each player must provide their own closed-toe footwear or soccer cleats, shin guards, soccer ball for their age, and water.
Recreational practice days are predetermined and will be held at GT Bray Park. Coaches have the choice of days and times they will be practicing. Games are held at GT Bray Park. ***Older age groups may need to travel within Manatee County.***
Typical practice schedules look like the following. *** They may alter slightly depending on coaches schedule **
U6 – Wednesday or Thursday 5:30pm-6:30pm
U8 – Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday 6:00pm-7:00pm
U10 – Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday 6:00pm-7:00pm
U12 – Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday 6:00pm-7:30pm
U14 – Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday 6:00pm-7:30pm or 7:30pm-9:00pm (if needed due to field space)
MAYSO will not schedule any practices on Fridays. Friday nights are allocated for club events like Fall Fun Night, and Bonus camps.
